Prof
Bryan Ngoi
Dr Bryan Ngoi obtained his doctorate from the University of
Canterbury in 1990. He was a professor in Nanyang Technological
University (NTU) and was the Director of Precision Engineering
and Nanotechnology Centre in School of Mechanical & Aerospace
Engineering. At the same time, he was also running a new
nanotech start-up company, called NanoFrontier Pte Ltd, which is
wholly owned by NTU, and has the strong support of the Singapore
Economic Development Board.
His
research interest is in manufacturing technologies, which
includes areas in tolerancing, fixturing, precision engineering
and nanotechnology. He has been awarded numerous honours and
awards, including the ANBAR "Citation of Excellence Award" in
1999. To-date, he has over 280 professional publications
including 198 journals in internationally referred journals and
98 conference papers. His citation index currently stands at
over 500. He has also 9 granted US patents and filed 1 PCT
patent.
Prof Ngoi
has also received countless invitations to give seminars at
Universities, Industrial Organisations and Research Institutions
both locally and internationally.
He is
widely sought after by industries as well as government agencies
like the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the
Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) as a
consultant in this field of expertise.

Dr.
Daniel Theyagu
The Chief Trainer for SQII soft skill courses is Dr. Daniel
Theyagu. Dr. Daniel Theyagu has been a training consultant and
performance evaluator with 11 years experience. He has extensive
experience in the field of developing and conducting training
programs for various organisations.
Dr.
Theyagu has conducted high-powered training workshops for more
than 200 schools, Institute of Technical Education, Polytechnics
and other organisations in Singapore, as well as in Indonesian
and Malaysia. His training programs are customized to the needs

Arul
John Peter
Arul John Peter, has been a trainer/facilitator for the past 18
years. After 15 years in the Singapore Civil service, he joined
an International Trade Secretariat in 1986 (Specialising on
Labour Practices and International Labour Standards) which is
based in Geneva, as a Project Officer for the Asia-Pacific
region. During his tenure with the International Trade
Secretariat, he was conducting training workshops throughout
Asia-Pacific region. His work as a project staff, has taken him
to many countries including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong,
Malaysia, Fiji, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, India and
several other Asian countries. He is well versed with the
multi-cultural work environment in Asia-Pacific region. Since
1999, he is involved in training and staff development
activities through his firm known as Centre for Creative
Thinking.
He is an
Australian graduate. At Master’s (MBA) level he major in
developing strategic human resource management with special
focus on managing HR and innovation at organisations. He also
holds a Bachelor of Science (from Australia) as his basic degree
and professional qualification in administrative and people
management from the Institute of Administrative Management,
United Kingdom.
As the
Director of his own consultancy firm (since 1999) he is involved
in conducting workshops for private and public sector
organisation. As a Training Consultant, he conducts management

Chee Wee
Ong Chee Wee is an Associate Trainer with Singapore Quality
Institute and is a certified Quality Management System (QMS)
Lead Auditor with BVQI Singapore Pte Ltd. He completed the
Masters of Business in Logistics Management (MBLM) with the
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
Prior to

Mr. Liang was the
General Manager of Tat Seng Paper Containers Pte Ltd - A manufacturer
of corrugated cartons for almost six years (August 1989 – May 1995). He was directly
responsible for the documentation, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance
system practice in the company. His company was the first corrugated carton plant being
awarded the ISO9002 certificate by SISIR (Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial
Research) He was also instrumental in implementing COQ program to the company. The COQ
program was then administered by NPB (National Productivity Board) that Tat Seng had
subsequently shared the experiences gained was with other manufacturing industries back in
1993.
Mr. Liang joined SISIR in January 1983. He was then appointed to manage its newly
established Quality Systems department in July 1986, which was known as the Novo Quality
Services Pte Ltd and left SISIR in July 1989. This previous position enabled him to gather wide
and good experience in training and active involvement in then SISIR’s ISO 9000 series of
Quality Systems consultancy projects. He is knowledgeable on the specifications and
requirements of ISO9001: 2000 Quality Management Systems Certification by PSB, SGS
International Certification Services, Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, Det Norske
Veritas Industry Pte Ltd and also other International certification bodies. He is a Management
System Consultant for ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems, QS 9000/

Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Administrations
from Cranfield University in United Kingdom and a Higher National Diploma in Production
Management & Engineering from Oxford (Brooks) University. He is also a UK trained
Charted Engineer in the Institute of Electrical Engineer and Manufacturing / Production
Engineers.
Mr. Liang is an
I RCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors)
Lead Auditor since
August 1990 and a corporate member of the Institute of Quality Assurance in United Kingdom.
Mr. Liang is Deputy Chairman of ACC (Advisory Committee for Certification) to PSB
Certification Board, the Vice Chairman of SQI (Singapore Quality Institute) and the
Chairman of Audit committee of MICB. He is a registered Cost of Quality (COQ)
management consultant and a Fellow member of the SQI. He carried out a number of COQ
programs implementation in the industry. In year 2000, he led the SQI team to collaborate with PSB in publishing the ISO 9001: 2000
Interpretation Guides.
Mr. Liang lectures regularly & extensively and is the
Course -Coordinator of the Certified

Meng Ken
Mr. Too Meng Ken holds a B. Sc. in Mathematics from Nanyang
University Singapore; Postgraduate Diploma in Science
(Computing) from Massey University, New Zealand; B.Sc. (Hons) in
Applied Statistics and M.Sc. in Quality Control from Victoria
University of Welling ton, New Zealand; and M. Phil. in
Management Science from Southampton University in United
Kingdom. He was a Consultative Committee member for the M.Sc.
Course of the Industrial and System Engineering Department in
the University of Singapore for two years.
Mr. Too
has more than 22 years of lecturing experience both in overseas

Ganesh
Mr. Ganesh has a well-rounded career profile, with vast
experience in, Manufacturing, Training, Consultancy and Third
Party Auditing, spanning a total of 20 years. He holds an
Engineering Degree (First Class Honours with Distinction) from
Regional Engineering College, Trichy, one of India’s reputed
Institutions.

Chan
Leng Chan is a practitioner of communication. Through her
countless engaging life experiences in the corporate world,
namely in the financial, management, service and human resource
sector, she has concluded that communication skills is the one
skill that the world at large is really short of.
She has
28 years of senior management experience, overseeing, designing
and facilitating | many operational tools to facilitate the
various managerial, operational and financial, training and
coaching, and systems aspects of many organizations. One of her
forte is passing on communication skills and time management
skills to her staff and workers during her training and coaching
sessions. She strongly believes that her mission is life is to

She had

Koh
Thong Joo
Koh Thong Joo has more than 13 years of industry experience
working in MNC, statutory board, SME and Public Listed Company.
During his career, he has spearheaded various portfolios
including sales & marketing, business development, strategic
planning and management consultancy.
Graduated
with a degree in Computer Science in National University of
Singapore, Thong Joo joined IBM Singapore Pte Ltd and
specialized in technical support for mainframe products. He has
supported many major MNC accounts and contributed to the success
of numerous projects. To broaden his experience, he later joined
an Indonesian public listed manufacturingcompany as the
Marketing Manager where he helped to open up new markets and
devised good marketing initiatives that grew the company's
revenue substantially.
To pursue
his interest in e-commerce and strategic planning, he joined
Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and his last
held position was Senior Manager in charge of jumpstarting
electronic commerce adoption among local enterprises. He has
conceptualized, initiated and spearheaded numerous programmes
and projects to drive pervasive use of IT and electronic
commerce among local enterprises.
He is
currently a professional trainer cum consultant specializing in
the area of sales & marketing, and customer service. He believes
that to introduce any strategic initiatives, we need to clearly
communicate the vision, get the buy-in of the people, and follow
a systematic approach and review. Similarly for training to be
effective, we need the trainees to see the fruits of training
and a competency-based approach to provide all the necessary
skills and methodology to enable them to achieve the corporate
goals.
He has
graduated from the pioneer batch of "Advanced Certificate in
Training and Evaluation" organized by Workforce Development
Agency in 2005. This further equipped him with the new training
emphasis that is competency-based. He has also contributed
several articles on sales strategy and customer service in the
Straits Times Recruit section and Human Resource magazine.
With his
many years of industry experience, he is able to articulate the
key points, illustrate important concepts and make the training
interesting through sharing of his real life experience with the
trainees. Through experiential learning, group discussions,
role-plays, self-reflections and actual work application,
trainees will be able to gain in-depth understanding of the
training subject matter.
He has
provided training and consultancy to MNC and SMEs in the area of
customer service, sales management and team building. His

Lakshmanan Govindan
Mr. L. Govindan is a well known auditor in Asia region, with his
vast experience in Manufacturing, Servicing, Engineering
Industries. He has performed Training, Consultancy and Third
Party Auditing, spanning a total of 21 years.
He is the
founder and the Principal Consultant of his training and
consultancy firms in Singapore, Malaysia and India. Mr. L.
Govindan has multi-auditor qualifications for various
international standards in Quality, Environmental, Health &
Safety Management Systems – namely ISO/TS 16949, TL 9000, ISO
9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. He is also well familiar with
Social Accountability standard SA 8000 and ISMS standard ISO
